As the New Year approaches, citizens have begun making preparations for New Year's Eve. Citizens who will spend the New Year at home are showing interest in nuts and snacks. Cuma Tan, a nut and snack seller in Kayseri, said that citizens prefer mixed nuts for the New Year.

Tan said, "Generally, mixed nuts are preferred on New Year's days. Because shopping is very busy on that day, people buy whatever is ready and go. New Year's Eve is spent with chestnuts, popcorn, and various chips for children on the side."

Stating that prices are higher compared to last year, Tan noted that the average cost of nuts and snacks for a family of 4 for a New Year's Eve spent at home is 350-400 TL.
