Norway's Sovereign Wealth Fund generated a profit of 1.75 trillion Norwegian kroner, approximately 184 billion dollars, from its investments in the first half of 2026. The fund's half-year performance was announced as the highest first-half profit recorded to date.

According to the financial results of Norges Bank Investment Management (NBIM), which manages the fund, the fund—which has a size of approximately 2.3 trillion dollars—achieved a return of 9.4 percent in the first 6 months of the year.

NBIM CEO Nicolai Tangen stated that returns in equity markets were the deciding factor in the strong performance. Tangen noted that Asian technology companies, in particular, stood out during this period.

In addition to stocks, Norway's Sovereign Wealth Fund also invests in bonds, real estate, and renewable energy infrastructure. The fund operates to manage Norway's oil and natural gas revenues for the long term.

According to the data released, the total value of the fund as of June 30 stands at 22 trillion 683 billion Norwegian kroner, approximately 2.3 trillion dollars.
