Notable decline in the number of investors on Borsa Istanbul
The number of equity investors registered with the Central Securities Depository (MKK) has continued to decline for the eighth consecutive week.

According to the investor and account numbers announced by the MKK, the number of equity investors decreased by 93 thousand 244 people in the week ending February 2 compared to the previous week. Thus, the number of equity investors fell from 7 million 336 thousand 578 to 7 million 243 thousand 334.
Consequently, the number of equity investors has decreased by 1 million 330 thousand 142 people in 6 weeks from the level of 8 million 573 thousand 476 seen on December 15, 2023.
In the same week, the value of equity stocks rose from 11.02 trillion TL to 11.41 trillion TL.
