The maximum premium table for mandatory traffic insurance for November has been updated, and new figures have been announced for owners of all motor vehicles, including automobiles, taxis, buses, tractors, and motorcycles.
According to data published by the Insurance Information and Monitoring Center, an average premium increase of 1 percent was applied across all vehicle groups in November. This update will be reflected in insurance premiums for all classes.
CURRENT PREMIUMS IN THE THREE MAJOR CITIES
Under the new tariff, a driver insuring their car in the 4th step in Istanbul will pay a premium of 14,991 TL. For the same step, the maximum premium applied was 14,763 TL in October and 14,612 TL in September.
In Istanbul, the premium for a high-risk driver in the zero step with an internal combustion engine is 44,733 TL, while the premium for a driver in the 8th step, which has the lowest risk level, has been set at 7,456 TL.
In Ankara, the premium amount for a high-risk driver in the zero step is 43,467 TL, and 7,245 TL for a driver in the 8th step.
According to the new tariff in Izmir, a premium of 42,201 TL will be paid in the zero step, and 7,034 TL in the 8th step.
INCREASE IN TAXI PREMIUMS
In November, there was also an increase in insurance premiums for commercial taxis. In Istanbul, the premium amount for the zero step is 117,861 TL, while a payment of 19,644 TL will be made in the eighth step.
In Ankara, the highest premium for commercial taxis was recorded at 114,526 TL, and the lowest premium at 19,088 TL. In Izmir, the zero-step premium was announced as 111,190 TL, and the eighth-step premium as 18,532 TL.
HIGHEST PREMIUMS FOR BUSES
The highest premium amounts in mandatory traffic insurance were again seen for buses. In Istanbul, the zero-step premium for buses with 31 or more seats rose to 282,495 TL. The premium in the eighth step was calculated as 46,136 TL.
PENALTY FOR DRIVING AN UNINSURED VEHICLE
The penalty for driving an uninsured vehicle for 2025 has been set at 993 TL. In addition to a monetary fine, drivers caught in traffic without insurance face the sanction of having their vehicle prohibited from traffic.
