OECD raises growth forecast for Turkey to 3.1 percent

The OECD has raised its growth forecast for Turkey for 2023 from 2.6 percent to 3.1 percent, while also increasing its inflation projection. For 2026, it slightly lowered its growth expectation and predicted that inflation rates would remain high.

The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) has released its "Economic Outlook" report. According to the report, the growth forecast for Turkey has been raised from 2.6 percent to 3.1 percent. Having increased its economic growth expectation, the OECD also raised its 2025 inflation forecast for Turkey from 30.7 percent to 31.4 percent.

ALSO ANNOUNCED FORECASTS FOR 2026

The OECD, which revised its growth expectations upward for this year, lowered Turkey's 2026 growth forecast from 4 percent to 3.9 percent. The inflation forecast, meanwhile, rose from 17.2 percent to 17.3 percent.
