Ekmekçioğlu Gıda ve Kuruyemiş Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. has filed for a concordat with the court due to problems in its financial structure. Following the application, a temporary grace period decision was issued for the business.

3-MONTH TEMPORARY GRACE PERIOD FROM THE COURT

According to the decision, it was ruled that the company would be placed under a temporary grace period for three months, starting from November 5, 2025. A three-person concordat commissioner committee was appointed to ensure the process is conducted properly.

The case file states that all enforcement proceedings, precautionary attachments, and preservation processes against the company will be suspended within the framework of Articles 294-297 of the Enforcement and Bankruptcy Law. As reported by Murat Beyaz from Sözcü, it was also decided that checks issued before the temporary grace period date would be processed by banks with a note stating they are "under concordat."

OPERATING FOR 83 YEARS

Founded by Muharrem Ekmekçioğlu in 1942, the company became a significant brand in the nut industry over the years. Products manufactured under the "Sincap" name were sold in various markets both in Turkey and abroad.

Ekmekçioğlu continued its operations by making various technology investments in the production of nuts and coated products. Working with a production philosophy committed to quality and hygiene standards, the company aimed to reach consumers through its extensive distribution network and factory outlet store located in Beylikdüzü.

ECONOMIC BOTTLENECK TRIGGERED THE PROCESS

Growing financial problems in recent times have negatively impacted the company's payment balance. Following these developments, the concordat application was accepted, and a temporary grace period has come into effect.
