Like many experts, Özgür Demirtaş, who has been warning that the course of the Turkish economy is not heading in a good direction and drawing attention with posts pointing to the accuracy of his past predictions, this time responded to an 'Aktrol' who wanted to refute his forecasts.
Pointing to the people's purchasing power, which is falling day by day, Demirtaş gave a final answer to questions such as, "If the economy is bad, why are the malls full, why are the roads full, why are the hotels full?"
Frustrated that his findings, based on numerous economic arguments, were being dismissed with such questions, Demirtaş began his post by saying 'I'm going crazy' and included the following statements:
"I'm going crazy:
They say if the economy is bad: Why are the malls full, why are the roads full, why are the hotels full?
Look, AKTROL: Let me explain it in a way that EVEN you can understand:
Excluding refugees, 80 million people live in Turkey.
10 million are rich, 20 million are middle class, 50 million are POOR.
The AKP made the rich ULTRA rich, wiped out the middle class, and made the poor even poorer.
If the ultra-rich were going to the mall once a week, they have started going THREE times,
If they were buying one car, they have started buying THREE,
If they were going on vacation for one week, they have started going for THREE weeks...
The crowds you see are the SAME people.
Did you understand with your brain for sale? OR should I explain it again with a simple explanation from ÖZGÜR DEMİRTAŞ?
