Speaking on Halk TV, Özel reacted to the 22,104 TL minimum wage set for 2025.

Calling for a boycott, Özel stated, "We will protest those who do not give workers their due; we will not consume what they produce. We will say: do not consume, do not buy, do not buy their shoes, do not use their tires."

"MINIMUM WAGE IN CHP-RUN MUNICIPALITIES WILL BE 30 THOUSAND TL"

When asked what CHP-run municipalities would do regarding the minimum wage, Özel said, "No CHP-run municipality will approach its workers with a collective bargaining agreement offer below 30 thousand liras. We will not sign off on any wage below this. Our minimum wage is 30 thousand liras."
