The law covering various regulations for the economy has been published in the Official Gazette and has entered into force. The regulation, which was accepted and enacted by the General Assembly of the Parliament at the beginning of April, brings new practices in different areas.
With the law, the paid military exemption fee has been increased from 335 thousand liras to 417 thousand liras.
With a last-minute change in the regulation, the way was paved for individuals with an orthopedic disability rate of over 40 percent to benefit from the SCT (Special Consumption Tax) exemption. Citizens who cannot obtain a driver's license due to an orthopedic disability will be able to purchase a vehicle without SCT once every 10 years.
Discounts will also be applied to housing and workplace purchases for earthquake victims. Accordingly, a 74 percent discount will be provided for first-time home purchases, and a 48 percent discount for first-time workplace purchases.
On the other hand, expenses related to betting advertisements will not be allowed to be deducted from the corporate tax and income tax base.
With the new regulation, a portion of the individual pension contributions made by employers on behalf of their employees will be kept outside the scope of social security premiums.
