Millions of retirees are waiting for the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) General Assembly to resume work on January 28.
The first agenda item of the General Assembly will be the legislative proposal that includes increasing the lowest pension to 14 thousand 469 liras.
According to the proposal, the lowest pension will be increased from 12 thousand 500 liras to 14 thousand 469 liras, and the minimum wage support provided to employers will be increased from 700 liras to one thousand liras.
WHEN WILL THE INCREASED PENSIONS BE PAID TO RETIREES?
It is intended for the proposal to be discussed and accepted before the end of January and then enacted.
However, in the event of a delay, the regulation is expected to be enacted in the first days of February.
Thus, the pension arrears will be deposited into the accounts of approximately 3.9 million SSK and BAĞ-KUR retirees by the first week of February at the latest.
Additionally, for retirees to receive their pension arrears, the proposal must also be published in the Official Gazette and enter into force.
