The payment period for the second installment of the Additional Motor Vehicle Tax (MTV) ends today. If not paid on time, vehicle owners will be subject to a monthly late payment interest rate of 3.5 percent.

In an announcement made on the Revenue Administration (GİB) website, it was stated that the payment period for the second installment of the additional MTV ends today.
The additional MTV regulation was introduced due to the financing needs arising from the earthquakes centered in Kahramanmaraş. While the payment period for the first installment of the additional MTV ended on September 6, approximately 13.2 billion liras in revenue was generated during that period, covering 87 percent of the targeted collection.
Under the regulation, the payment period for the second installment ends on November 30. If the additional MTV is not paid on time, vehicle owners will be subject to a monthly late payment interest rate of 3.5 percent.
Payments can be made via the Revenue Administration's website "gib.gov.tr", the Interactive Tax Office, and the GİB Mobile application, as well as through contracted banks using credit or debit cards, bank accounts, branches, or via mobile, telephone, and internet banking. Additionally, payments can be made at tax office counters and PTT branches.
