Payment deadline for the second installments of motor vehicle tax and income tax expires tomorrow

The deadline for the second installment payments of the motor vehicle tax (MTV) and income tax expires tomorrow. According to the announcement by the Revenue Administration (GİB), the second installments of the 2026 MTV and the income tax on earnings obtained in 2025 can be paid until July 31.

Taxpayers can make their payments through the Digital Tax Office and the GİB mobile application. While payments can be made via credit cards, debit cards, or bank accounts of contracted banks, cards issued by banks operating in foreign countries are also among the payment channels.

MTV payments can also be made through the Digital Tax Office without the need for a password. For this, it is sufficient to enter one of the following pieces of information: license plate number, Turkish ID number, and either the registration date or the ownership document date.

Tax payments can also be made at PTT branches and tax offices. To avoid any issues, taxpayers who will process transactions online are advised to type the address "gib.gov.tr" or the official websites of banks directly into their browsers.
