The government is working on a new regulation for the flexible working model. This regulation aims to bring approximately 12 million people, including individuals with disabilities, young people, and former convicts, into the workforce.
NEW REGULATION ON ITS WAY TO PARLIAMENT
The draft legislative amendment, which has been presented to the Economic Coordination Council and shared with stakeholders, is expected to reach Parliament soon. Although flexible and part-time working forms exist in current labor legislation, it is noted that these types of work are not preferred because their contribution to the retirement process is low. It is stated that it takes a very long time for part-time employees to complete their premium days, and therefore their retirement could take 80-100 years.
The new regulation aims to solve this problem. In the draft study, an "income-based" model has been adopted for premium calculation. According to this model, part-time employees who have a high income and pay their premiums according to their income will be able to retire after fulfilling other conditions as well.
