Rize is seeing price hikes for simit following the increase in bread prices. At the beginning of the year, 250 grams of bread had risen to 10 TL. Now, sesame simit will rise to 13 TL, and plain simit will rise to 5 TL.
In a post cited by journalist İsmail Saymaz, he stated, "In Rize, where bread has risen to 10 TL, a price hike is also coming for simit. Sesame simit is becoming 13 TL, and plain simit is becoming 5 TL. Friends, it is not just the people of Rize who vote for the AK Party. The AK Party is the leading party in two-thirds of the country.
