Producer prices in agriculture show an increase
The Agricultural Products Producer Price Index (Agriculture PPI) increased by 2.71 percent in April compared to the previous month and by 60.77 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.

The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) has announced the Agriculture PPI data for April.
Accordingly, the index increased by 2.71 percent in April compared to the previous month, by 20.68 percent compared to December of the previous year, by 60.77 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, and by 60.69 percent based on 12-month averages.
When looking at the change by sector compared to the previous month, an increase of 2.67 percent was recorded in agriculture and hunting products and related services, 4.43 percent in forestry products and related services, and 1.65 percent in fish and other fishing products, aquaculture, and support services for fishing.
In terms of main groups compared to the previous month, there was a 2.27 percent decrease in annual (non-perennial) crops, while there was an 11.79 percent increase in perennial crops and a 4.58 percent increase in live animals and animal products.
According to the annual Agriculture PPI, 8 subgroups showed a lower change, while 5 subgroups showed a higher change.
The group with the lowest annual increase was live poultry and eggs at 23.52 percent. Other subgroups with low annual increases were citrus fruits at 30.18 percent, and cereals (excluding rice), legumes, and oil seeds at 37.51 percent. Conversely, the subgroups with the highest annual increases were identified as oil fruits at 166.06 percent and tropical and subtropical fruits at 114.45 percent.
According to the monthly Agriculture PPI, 5 subgroups showed a lower change, while 8 subgroups showed a higher change.
The group with the largest decrease compared to the previous month was live poultry and eggs at minus 9.03 percent. Another subgroup with a low monthly increase was vegetables and melons, roots and tubers, which was recorded at minus 7.9 percent. The group with the lowest increase in the same period was identified as other tree and bush fruits and nuts at 0.42 percent.
In contrast, the subgroups with the highest monthly increases were recorded as citrus fruits at 58.57 percent and tropical and subtropical fruits at 8.9 percent.
