Orta Anadolu Mensucat Factory, one of the long-standing industrial establishments in Kayseri, has announced that it has ceased production activities. The company, which was founded in 1953 and has been operating in the textile sector for many years, stated that production at its Kayseri facilities was terminated as of September 11, 2026.
The notification from the factory management came following images shared on social media regarding the cessation of production. The company stated that it has been supplying premium denim fabric to the world's leading global brands since 1986.
Among the brands supplied by Orta Anadolu Mensucat were well-known names in the denim sector such as Levi's, Mavi, Lee, Wrangler, Diesel, Replay, and Guess.
In its statement, the company noted that in recent years, demand in the global textile sector has weakened, operational and financing costs have increased, there have been fluctuations in supply chains, and trade dynamics have changed. Management reported that despite efforts toward cost reduction, efficiency, and restructuring, it was concluded that the current model was no longer sustainable.
According to the statement, production activities in Kayseri were halted as of September 11, 2026. The company announced that all production facilities will be completely closed as of October 12, 2026.
