Products with the highest price increases and decreases in September have been announced

According to TUIK data, the highest increase in consumer prices in September was seen in higher education, while the sharpest decline was seen in fresh citrus fruits.

According to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) for September, the highest monthly increase in consumer prices was recorded in higher education at 25.79 percent. In the same period, the product group with the largest price decline was fresh citrus fruits at 24.41 percent.

The increase in higher education was followed by the "fresh dates, figs, and tropical fruits" category at 23.31 percent. The price increase in the "accommodation services in boarding schools, universities, and other educational institutions" item was calculated at 19.99 percent.

Other items with the highest price increases in September included school buses at 16.04 percent, diesel at 12.93 percent, margarine at 12.23 percent, and gasoline at 11.55 percent.

In terms of price declines, citrus fruits were followed by other fresh or chilled vegetables at 17.62 percent, other fresh fruits at 13.12 percent, and international air passenger transport at 12.96 percent. The decline in tuberous vegetables was 11.78 percent, while the decline in domestic air transport was 6.8 percent.
