With the inflation data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), the rates for the July raises for both retirees and civil servants have become clear. According to the figures announced for June, SSK and Bağ-Kur retirees will receive a 17.76 percent raise. A 13.52 percent increase is expected in the salaries of civil servants and retired civil servants.
While millions of retirees are eagerly awaiting the changes to their pensions, the AK Party has taken an important step on the agenda. In line with the new legislative proposal submitted to the Speaker of the Parliament, the goal is to raise the lowest pension to 23,552 TL.
Following TÜİK's announcement, the uncertainty regarding the raise rates has ended, and the regulation prepared to determine the new base amount to be reflected in pensions has been brought to the agenda of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. If the proposal in question is accepted, the pensions of many retirees across the country will increase.
