Rising inflation and low wages in recent years have led to deepening poverty across Turkey. Experts state that low-income citizens, in particular, are struggling against high costs of living. According to the research results, while poverty rates have reached their highest levels in recent years, Sinop has emerged as the province with the lowest income level.

REGIONS WITH LIMITED ECONOMIC ACTIVITY

In provinces where economic activities are limited and unemployment rates remain high, income per capita remains well below the national average. This situation causes poverty to become entrenched, particularly in the central and eastern regions of Anatolia.
