Public transport fare hike in İzmir
A 25 percent hike has been applied to public transport in İzmir. Under the new tariff, which will take effect on Saturday, the full fare has risen to 25 TL, while student and teacher tariffs remain unchanged.

The İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Transportation Coordination Center has decided on a 25 percent hike for public transport. The increased prices will be effective starting tomorrow. With the latest hike, the full fare has risen to 25 liras, while the teacher tariff of 17.72 liras and the monthly student subscription card price of 480 liras have remained unchanged. The student boarding fee has increased to 10 liras.
Transfers will remain free under the 90-Minute Integration System. A 50 percent discount will be applied between 05:00-07:00 and 19:00-20:00 as part of the Public Transport Application.
The new ticket prices in İzmir are as follows:
– The full boarding fee with İzmirim Kart has risen to 25 TL.
– The teacher boarding fee has remained unchanged at 17.72 TL.
– The boarding fee for citizens over 60 has become 20 TL.
– The student boarding fee has been set at 10 TL.
– A 12.87 percent increase was applied to the 60-plus tariff.
– A 16.55 percent increase was applied to the student tariff.
– Boarding for those aged 65 and over will continue to be free.
– The price of the Student Subscription Card (100 rides per month/480 TL) has not changed.

– C Tariff (Pay-As-You-Go): First 10 km full 23.55 TL, 0.78 TL per km

– E Tariff (Campus Ring): Full 25 TL / Student 2.77 TL
– F Tariff (Owl Lines): Full 55.13 TL / Student 19.79 TL
– G Tariff (Airport Lines): Full 55.13 TL / Student 39.98 TL
