Published in the Official Gazette: 5 TL coin enters circulation

In the communiqué published by the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, it was stated that, in accordance with Law No. 1264 dated 28/5/1970 on the Minting of Small Change and Commemorative Coins, 5 TL coins with the specified characteristics have been minted by the General Directorate of Mint and Stamp Printing, which is affiliated with the ministry.

The coins, which feature a plain serrated edge, have been determined to have a diameter of 28.15 millimeters, a thickness of 1.70 millimeters, and a weight of 8.25 grams. For the obverse design, depth was added by using an 8-pointed Seljuk star motif on the outer ring and repeating the outer contour of this motif.

Furthermore, on the obverse, a crescent and star are featured at the junction of the ring and the core, with the "Century of Türkiye" logo placed in the center. To the left of the logo is the number 5, with the inscription "Türk lirası" (Turkish Lira) below it, and the year of minting placed beneath that inscription.

The reverse design features a relief of the Founder of the Republic, the Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, with the inscription "Türkiye Cumhuriyeti" (Republic of Türkiye) surrounding it.

The communiqué, the provisions of which will be executed by the Minister of Treasury and Finance, entered into force on the date of its publication.
