Throughout 2025, activity in the sales of residential properties, land, fields, workplaces, and commercial real estate reached remarkable levels. Data from the General Directorate of Land Registry and Cadastre shows that the strong sales momentum that began in the early months of the year continued throughout the year. While sales recorded increases in January, February, April, May, June, July, August, and September, there was a slight decline in March and October.
When examining the number of real estate properties sold in the first 10 months of 2025, the figures were recorded as 238 thousand 938 in January, 232 thousand 756 in February, 222 thousand 934 in March, 237 thousand 829 in April, 263 thousand 643 in May, 218 thousand 282 in June, 284 thousand 852 in July, 290 thousand 564 in August, 300 thousand 687 in September, and 310 thousand 457 in October. Notably, while the highest monthly sales volume of the year was reached in October, a small decrease (1.8%) was recorded compared to the same month last year.
As of the first 10 months of the year, total sales increased by 9.7 percent to 2 million 600 thousand 942. This is the highest sales figure ever reached in the January-October period. The previous record was set in 2022 with 2 million 551 thousand 640 units.
INTENSITY CONTINUES AT LAND REGISTRY OFFICES
During the same period, a total of 16 million 676 thousand 177 transactions were carried out at land registry offices. While sales accounted for the largest share of these transactions, many other types of transactions such as mortgages, successions, corrections, expropriations, partitions, donations, mergers, and divisions also took place. The highest revenue was generated from sales transactions.
HISTORIC REVENUE FROM TITLE DEED FEES
Fee revenue generated from title deed transactions also rose by 76.2 percent compared to last year, reaching 122 billion 781 million 190 thousand liras. Approximately 117.4 billion liras of this amount came from sales. These transactions constituted the majority of the revenue obtained, and title deed fees stood out as a significant item in state revenues.
It is observed that the total real estate sales figures realized in the January-October periods between 2020 and 2025 are on an upward trend. The activity in the sector is expected to continue in the coming period.
