Restructuring applications in areas where force majeure continues can be made until July 31, 2024

Taxpayers in Adıyaman, Hatay, Kahramanmaraş, Malatya, and the İslahiye and Nurdağı districts of Gaziantep, which were affected by the Kahramanmaraş-centered earthquakes and where the state of force majeure has been extended, will be able to apply for restructuring until July 31, 2024.

The "General Communiqué on Law No. 7440 Regarding the Restructuring of Certain Receivables" by the Ministry of Treasury and Finance has been published in the Official Gazette and has entered into force.

With the communiqué, following the extension of the state of force majeure applied in these provinces and districts until April 30, 2024, the deadlines for applications and installment payments to benefit from the restructuring regulation have been redetermined.

Accordingly, in Adıyaman, Hatay, Kahramanmaraş, Malatya, and the İslahiye and Nurdağı districts of Gaziantep, where the state of force majeure will end on April 30, 2024, applications to benefit from the restructuring regulation can be made until July 31, 2024.

The first installment of the restructured amounts (including lump-sum payments) must be paid by September 2, 2024 (due to August 31 falling on a public holiday), the second installment by September 30, 2024, and the remaining installments in the following months.
