Millions of retirees have turned their eyes to the June inflation data to be announced on July 3. With the figures to be released by the Turkish Statistical Institute, the raise rate that SGK and BAĞ-KUR retirees will receive will be finalized.
In economic circles, June inflation is expected to be around 1 percent on a monthly basis. In line with this forecast, it is projected that the raise rate for retirees for the first six months of the year will be at the 17.77 percent level.
RAISE RATE EXPECTED AT 17.77 PERCENT
With the announcement of the June inflation data, the raise rate for SGK and BAĞ-KUR retirees will become clear. According to expectations, if monthly inflation occurs at around 1 percent, the six-month raise rate for retirees will be approximately 17.77 percent.
This rate will be calculated by taking into account the sum of the inflation data for the first six months of the year.
ADDITIONAL PAYMENT AMOUNTS WILL ALSO INCREASE
Since the additional payment made to retirees is calculated based on the increased pension, there will also be an increase in additional payment amounts along with the pension raise.
Following the reflection of the 17.77 percent raise on pensions, the additional payment item will also be redetermined.
According to a sample calculation, if a raise of approximately 18 percent is applied to the pension of a person whose current pension is 25 thousand liras, their new pension will rise to 29 thousand 500 liras.
With the addition of the additional payment calculated over the increased pension, the total payment will reach approximately 30 thousand 680 liras.
Accordingly, a person receiving a pension of 25 thousand liras will see an increase of approximately 1 thousand 180 liras in their total income, including the additional payment.
