Risk appetite rises in global markets

As risk appetite rises in global markets, US bond yields are declining.

China's expansion of its fiscal stimulus is having a positive impact on Asian markets. The Hong Kong Hang Seng Tech Index recorded its fastest daily rise since August, up 5 percent. While the Hang Seng rose 1 percent, the China CSI 100 0.5 percent, and the Japanese Topix 1 percent, the MSCI Asia Pacific is heading for its fastest weekly gain.

Nasdaq 100 futures are down 0.5 percent following the mixed picture presented to investors by Microsoft and Google earnings reports.

With the rise in risk appetite, US bond yields are declining. The two-year yield is down five basis points to 5.06 percent.

The Bloomberg Dollar Index is flat at 1,271 points. The Dollar/TL exchange rate traded at 28.12 in the morning hours. While oil prices are moving sideways, the active Brent crude oil contract is at the 88 dollar level per barrel.

Spot gold is changing hands at 1,973 dollars, up 0.1 percent.
