Salary of Hafize Gaye Erkan, who said 'We couldn't find a house in Istanbul, it's incredibly expensive,' has been revealed

Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey Governor Hafize Gaye Erkan had said in an interview with Ahmet Hakan, Editor-in-Chief of the Hürriyet newspaper, known for its proximity to the government, "We couldn't find a house in Istanbul. It's incredibly expensive. We moved in with my parents, we are staying with them."

Following these remarks, which became a hot topic, Erkan's salary became a subject of curiosity.

It was stated that Central Bank Governor Erkan has a gross monthly salary of 161 thousand liras, excluding additional payments.
