September construction cost and industrial production index announced
The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) has released the construction sector cost indices and industrial production data for September. While the rise in costs in the construction sector continues, industrial production showed an increase on an annual basis.

TÜİK has shared the September Construction Cost Index with the public. It was stated that the upward trend in construction costs continues.
The General Construction Cost Index increased by 2.46% in September compared to the previous month, showing an increase of 67.93% on an annual basis.
During this period, the material index increased by 3.39% and the labor index by 0.30%. On an annual basis, the material index rose by 54.15% and the labor index by 114.05%.
BUILDING COSTS SKYROCKETED
The Building Construction Cost Index increased by 2.47% in September compared to the previous month, while it recorded an increase of 66.08% compared to the same period last year.
PRODUCTION INCREASED IN THE INDUSTRIAL SECTOR
According to TÜİK data, the Annual Industrial Production Index increased by 4.0% in September compared to the same month of the previous year.
INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION DECREASED
In September, industrial production decreased by 0.1% on a monthly basis.
While the mining and quarrying sector index increased by 1.4%, the manufacturing sector index remained at the same level, and the electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning production and distribution sector index decreased by 2.0%.
