Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan attended the signing ceremony of the "Cooperation Protocol on Digital Transformation in the Public Sector and Support for Scientific Research" at TÜBİTAK, alongside Minister of Industry and Technology Fatih Kacır.

Stating that technology is advancing at a dizzying pace, Işıkhan said that everyone is experiencing this information age.

Drawing attention to the fact that the increasingly digital age is making all public services that touch human lives digital at the same rate, Işıkhan spoke as follows:

"One of the institutions that benefits most from this transformation process, which provides great convenience when used correctly, is İŞKUR. We can access many of the services that İŞKUR, which undertakes the task of being the strongest bridge between job seekers and employers, offers to our citizens online. In this sense, we believe that the protocol we will sign today will make a significant contribution to İŞKUR's digital transformation.

Thanks to the protocol to be carried out with TÜBİTAK, one of our country's most respected and well-established organizations in the field of science and technology policies, the development of İŞKUR's artificial intelligence-supported system and the strengthening of its statistical infrastructure will be ensured. Furthermore, with this project, we aim for an effective cooperation with TÜBİTAK to expand the software infrastructure to cover other institutional activities and to meet all our institution's software needs, from employment services to active and passive labor force programs. In addition, joint studies and projects will be carried out between the Social Security Institution (SGK) and TÜBİTAK regarding the 2024 Year of Retirees."

Expressing that the Ministry of Industry and Technology has pioneered many studies that will reflect the benefits of the digital age to public services in the most accurate and efficient way, Işıkhan noted the following:

"On this occasion, I would like to thank our Minister Mr. Mehmet Fatih Kacır for his pioneering work and support. Knowing that the speed and accessibility of public services are as important as the provision of the service itself, we will continue to develop and update our institutional activities with the support of our Ministry of Industry and Technology."

Following the speeches, Ministers Işıkhan and Kacır signed the "Cooperation Protocol on Digital Transformation in the Public Sector and Support for Scientific Research," which includes the cooperation of SGK and İŞKUR with TÜBİTAK.
