SGK's data center modernization entrusted to VBT

VBT Yazılım A.Ş., one of the players in the Turkish software sector that also operates in the international market, has strengthened its position in public IT infrastructure with a significant contract. The company won the comprehensive modernization tender held by the SGK on May 7, 2026, and signed the final contract with the institution as of June 11, 2026.

According to the "New Business Relationship" notification made to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), the value of the contract was announced as 439,880,000 TL, excluding VAT.

UNINTERRUPTED SERVICE IN IT INFRASTRUCTURE

The contract covers not only hardware supply but also the complete renewal of the SGK systems, which house the health, retirement, and premium data of millions of citizens. Given the increasing importance of cybersecurity and data integrity today, the following critical steps will be taken within the scope of the project:

- Renewal of existing enterprise servers in the SGK data center in accordance with modern technological requirements,

- Procurement and architectural adaptation of new servers that ensure simultaneous and redundant operation of systems, in line with the institution's structure that provides 24/7 service and cannot tolerate even a second of interruption in data flow,

- Provision of an additional 100 MSU (Million Service Units) capacity license for the software on the enterprise server to maximize the institution's data processing power.

AN IMPORTANT REFERENCE FOR THE SECTOR

According to economy and technology market experts, the fact that a state institution like the SGK, where security and operational continuity must be maintained at the highest level, has entrusted its data center infrastructure to a domestic software company along with IBM is considered remarkable for the sector. It is stated that the project in question, in addition to the positive impact it will have on the financial statements of the company that won the tender, also serves as an important reference in terms of demonstrating the trust placed in the domestic ecosystem during Turkey's digital transformation processes.
