Stock market and dollar were the top-performing investment vehicles this week

This week, the stock market and the dollar were the top-performing investment vehicles. The BIST 100 index at Borsa Istanbul closed the week with a 0.85 percent gain at 7,771.34 points. During the week, the index saw a low of 7,738.66 points and a high of 7,942.82 points. In the same period, the Borsa Istanbul services index rose by 3.20 percent to 7,372.19 points, the technology index by 1.15 percent to 9,838.01 points, and the industrial index by 1.34 percent to 12,456.54 points, while the financial index fell by 0.33 percent to 7,844.34 points.

EUROPEN ENDÜSTRİ WAS THE TOP-PERFORMING STOCK

Among the stocks included in the BIST 100 index on Borsa Istanbul, Europen Endüstri was the top gainer this week with a 15.68 percent increase. Europen Endüstri was followed by Otokar with 13.61 percent and Akfen Yenilenebilir Enerji with 12.73 percent.

Among the same stocks, the biggest losers were Borusan Mannesman Boru ve Sanayi Ticaret with 14.43 percent, Bera Holding with 10.18 percent, and Mia Teknoloji with 8.30 percent.

The most valuable companies traded on Borsa Istanbul were Koç Holding with 356 billion 293 million liras, Turkish Airlines with 316 billion 158 million liras, and Ford Otomotiv with 288 billion 798 million liras.

GOLD FELL WHILE THE DOLLAR ROSE

The gram selling price of 24-karat gold bullion fell by 1.92 percent this week to 1,786 liras, and the selling price of Republic gold decreased by 1.94 percent to 12,000 liras.

The selling price of the dollar gained 0.55 percent to reach 28.5660 liras, while the euro's selling price rose by 0.30 percent to 30.5270 liras.

The selling price of the British pound, which was 35.0000 liras last week, fell by 0.06 percent this week to 34.9440 liras.

The Swiss franc found buyers at 31.7760 liras, a 0.15 percent gain compared to the previous week.
