Stock market closes the day with a decline
The BIST 100 index at Borsa Istanbul ended the day with a 1.81 percent loss. The BIST 100 index closed the day at 10,486.70 points.

The Borsa Istanbul BIST 100 index ended the day with a 1.81 percent loss at 10,486.70 points.
The BIST 100 index decreased by 193.28 points compared to the previous close, with a total trading volume of 82.1 billion lira.
The banking index lost 1.27 percent, and the holding index lost 1.31 percent.
Among sector indices, tourism was the top gainer with 1.13 percent, while mining was the top loser with 3.27 percent.
On the other hand, the total reserves of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) increased by 149 million dollars in the week of June 14 compared to the previous week, reaching an all-time high of 146 billion 301 million dollars.
Non-residents also purchased 791.7 million dollars worth of Government Domestic Debt Securities (GDDS) during the same period, and the total purchases by foreigners, who have been buying for 12 consecutive weeks for the first time in history, approached 9 billion dollars in this period.
The foreign GDDS stock reached its highest level since March 13, 2020, at 11 billion 235.7 million dollars.
Analysts stated that global equity markets followed a mixed course as investors sought further clues regarding the steps the US Federal Reserve (Fed) will take in the coming period, alongside cautious guidance from bank officials.
Stating that the interest rate decision to be announced by the CBRT's Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting and the economic confidence index will be monitored domestically tomorrow, analysts said that a busy data agenda will be followed abroad, primarily growth in the US, retail sales in Japan, industrial profits in China, and the economic confidence index in the Eurozone.
Analysts noted that technically, 10,400 and 10,300 points are support levels for the BIST 100 index, while 10,500 and 10,600 levels are resistance.
All economists participating in the AA Finans expectation survey expect the CBRT to keep the policy rate unchanged at 50 percent.
The median of economists' year-end policy rate expectations was also calculated as 50 percent.
