Stock market gains 0.16 percent in the first half of the day
The BIST 100 index at Borsa Istanbul gained 0.16 percent in the first half of the day, rising to 8,821.45 points.

The BIST 100 index, which followed a volatile course in the first half of the day, rose by 14.07 points compared to the previous close to reach 8,821.45 points as of 13:00. The total trading volume was 35 billion liras.
The banking index lost 0.81 percent, while the holding index lost 0.39 percent.
Among sector indices, the construction sector was the top gainer with 1.98 percent, while the sports sector saw the largest decline with 4.80 percent.
