Stock market hits record high in first half of the day: Latest on dollar, euro, and gold

The BIST 100 index on Borsa Istanbul gained 0.57 percent in the first half of the day, rising to 10,703.83 points. In the Istanbul free market, the dollar is trading at 32.2070 lira and the euro at 35.0090 lira.

The stock market saw a record level in the first half of the day.

As of 13:00, the index rose by 60.25 points and 0.57 percent compared to the previous close, reaching 10,703.83 points. The BIST 100 index, which closed at 10,643.58 points on Friday, started the week at 10,660.80 points, up 17.22 points and 0.16 percent.

During the first half of the day, the index saw a low of 10,633.93 points and a record high of 10,763.82 points.

In the first half of the day, the financial index gained 1.15 percent, the technology index 0.65 percent, and the industrial index 0.31 percent, while the services index lost 0.10 percent.

Compared to the previous close, 57 of the stocks included in the BIST 100 index rose, while 43 lost value. The most actively traded stocks were Türk Hava Yolları, Ereğli Demir Çelik, Tüpraş, Türkiye İş Bankası (C), and Akbank.

GOLD OUNCE PRICE AT 2,441 DOLLARS

As of 13:00, the simple yield of the benchmark bond maturing on February 18, 2026, traded in the Borsa Istanbul Debt Securities Market Outright Purchases and Sales Market, was at 38.54 percent, and the compound yield was at 42.25 percent.

In international markets, as of 13:00, the euro/dollar parity was at 1.0870, the sterling/dollar parity at 1.2700, and the dollar/yen parity at 155.70.

In the Istanbul free market, the dollar is trading at 32.2070 lira and the euro at 35.0090 lira.

The ounce of gold is trading at 2,441 dollars in international markets with a 1.1 percent increase, while a barrel of London Brent crude oil is trading at 83.5 dollars with a 0.2 percent decrease.
