Stock market opens with gains (18.04.2024)
The BIST 100 index at Borsa Istanbul opened the day with a 0.36 percent increase, reaching 9,564.85 points.

At the opening, the BIST 100 index rose by 34.38 points, or 0.36 percent, compared to the previous close, reaching 9,564.85 points.
The banking index recorded a 0.75 percent increase, while the holding index rose by 0.37 percent. Among sector indices, the stone and soil sector was the top gainer with 0.93 percent, while the real estate investment trust sector was the only decliner, falling by 1.47 percent.
Yesterday, the BIST 100 index at Borsa Istanbul followed a volatile course and closed the day with a 0.18 percent loss at 9,530.47 points.
Analysts stated that uncertainties regarding the future policies of the US Federal Reserve (Fed) continue to complicate pricing in global equity markets, noting that a busy data agenda has become the focus of investors today.
