Stock market rises, gold gains, foreign currency declines: Here is this week's investment instrument performance
While Borsa Istanbul finished the week with a strong rally, gold prices showed an increase. The dollar and euro declined, while investment funds lost value.

Stocks traded on Borsa Istanbul gained an average of 6.80 percent on a weekly basis, while in the foreign exchange market, the dollar/TL fell by 0.01 percent and the euro/TL by 0.53 percent. The gram price of gold continued its upward trend, increasing by 2.15 percent.
The BIST 100 index fluctuated between 8,872.75 and 9,830.83 points throughout the week, closing at 9,659.48 points, an increase of 6.80 percent compared to the previous week.
In the Grand Bazaar, the gram selling price of 24-karat bullion gold rose by 2.15 percent on a weekly basis to 3,750 liras. The selling price of Republic gold also increased by 2.13 percent to 25,375 liras. The price of quarter gold reached 6,281 liras, a 2.10 percent increase from last week's level of 6,152 liras.
On the foreign currency front, the US dollar fell by a limited 0.01 percent to 38.0100 liras, while the euro lost 0.53 percent in value and traded at 41.1260 liras.
In the fund market, investment funds lost 0.51 percent and pension funds lost 0.92 percent in value, while the best-performing investment funds were "money market" funds with 0.40 percent.
