Stock market rose in the first half of the day (20.03.2024)
The BIST 100 index on Borsa Istanbul gained 0.11 percent in the first half of the day, rising to 8,939.82 points.

Moving with an upward trend in the first half of the day, the BIST 100 index rose by 9.94 points to 8,939.82 points as of 13:00, compared to the previous close. The total trading volume was recorded at 44 billion liras.
While the banking index lost 0.12 percent, the holding index gained 0.13 percent. Among sector indices, the top gainer was informatics with 2.48 percent, while the top loser was sports with 1.86 percent.
In global markets, while eyes are turned today to the monetary policy decisions of the US Federal Reserve (Fed) and the statements of Fed Chair Jerome Powell, risk appetite remains positive, albeit limited.
