The BIST 100 index at Borsa Istanbul gained 0.48 percent in the first half of the day, rising to 10,728.22 points.

Moving with an upward trend in the first half of the day, the BIST 100 index rose by 51.57 points as of 13:00, compared to the previous close, reaching 10,728.22 points. The total trading volume was 40.9 billion liras.
The banking index rose by 1.26 percent, and the holding index rose by 0.24 percent.
Among sector indices, the sports sector was the top gainer with 5.22 percent, while the insurance sector saw the largest decline with 1.94 percent.
Analysts noted that global markets started the week with a positive trend, influenced by the easing of inflation expectations measured by the University of Michigan in the US on the last trading day of last week.
Stating that a busy data agenda, primarily growth data in the US, has become the focus of investors this week, analysts noted that from a technical perspective, 10,800 and 11,000 points are resistance levels for the BIST 100 index, while 10,600 and 10,500 levels are support positions.
