Stock market starts the day with a record: Reaches 9,807 points
The BIST 100 index at Borsa Istanbul started the day at a record level of 9,807.65 points, rising by 0.52 percent.

At the opening, the BIST 100 index gained 50.96 points and 0.52 percent compared to the previous close, reaching 9,807.65 points.
The banking index recorded an increase of 0.28 percent and the holding index rose by 0.43 percent. Among sector indices, the chemical, petroleum, and plastic sector was the top gainer with 2.18 percent, while the transportation sector was the biggest loser with 0.08 percent.
Yesterday, the BIST 100 index at Borsa Istanbul followed a bullish trend and completed the day with a 1.43 percent gain at 9,756.69 points, achieving the highest daily close of all time.
Analysts stated that global equity markets are following a cautious trend ahead of the inflation data to be announced in the US tomorrow, and noted that Borsa Istanbul will operate for a half-day today ahead of the Ramadan Feast holiday.
