Strike decision from union affiliated with TÜRK-İŞ
Following a failure to reach an agreement in collective bargaining negotiations for approximately 600,000 public workers, TÜRK-İŞ has posted a strike notice at the General Directorate of Highways. YOL-İŞ President Ramazan Ağar announced that the strike decision will be posted at 500 more institutions across Turkey and issued a call to the government.

TÜRK-İŞ announced a strike decision at the General Directorate of Highways after no agreement could be reached during the Public Collective Bargaining Framework Protocol negotiations. Workers affiliated with the YOL-İŞ Union gathered in front of the General Directorate of Highways to announce the strike decision.
YOL-İŞ Union President Ramazan Ağar stated in his remarks that no consensus had been reached in the negotiations, which have been ongoing since January, and that they were therefore implementing the strike decision. Ağar noted that the strike decision would be posted at nearly 500 more institutions across Turkey.
Calling on the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, Ağar said, "The state cannot ignore its employees. We will continue to make our demands heard. By posting our strike decision here today, we are initiating this process. We hope this decision will be beneficial for all workers."
Following the statement, Ağar and the workers posted the strike notice at the entrance of the General Directorate of Highways.
