Support for exporters is on the way

Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek stated that financial support for exporters will continue. Şimşek announced that Eximbank aims to provide a total of 53 billion dollars in cash and non-cash support for 2023.

This move is considered an important step taken to enable exporters to be more competitive in global markets.

In a statement on his social media account, Şimşek announced that the rediscount credit limits provided for exporters have been increased. He stated that the daily limit for rediscount credits, which are used at a cost of approximately half the market interest rate, has been raised from 300 million liras to 4.5 billion liras. Furthermore, it was stated that the total foreign currency rediscount limit has been increased to 1 billion dollars.

EXIMBANK CAPITAL INCREASED 5-FOLD

Minister Şimşek announced that Eximbank's capital has been increased to 88.4 billion liras. It was stated that this increase is a step that will strengthen the financial support provided to exporters. Şimşek emphasized that exports and value-added production will continue to be supported so that Turkey can move up in global value chains.
