On Wednesday, January 3, 2024, with the announcement of the December 2023 inflation figures, the 6-month inflation difference will emerge, and the raise rate that millions of civil servants and retired civil servants will receive will be clarified.
The collective bargaining agreement raise and the inflation difference calculated over 6-month inflation will be reflected in the salaries of civil servants and retirees.
In the 5-month period covering July to November, the inflation rate was 33.66 percent. In the 7th Term Collective Bargaining Agreement, the increase foreseen for civil servants in January was set at 15 percent.
As of November, it has become clear that the salary increase, including the inflation difference, will be 45 percent. The December inflation will be added to this.
The exact figures will be clarified with the inflation data to be announced on January 3. SSK and Bağkur retirees will also receive a salary raise based on the 6-month inflation rate.

Salary increases for civil servants and retirees are determined according to the collective bargaining agreement. In the 7th Term Collective Bargaining Agreement, there is a 15 percent increase foreseen for civil servants in January plus the inflation difference. The 5-month CPI rate was 33.66 percent. It has become clear that the salary increases for civil servants and retired civil servants, including the inflation difference, will be 45 percent; the December CPI will also be added to this.

An increase of nearly 40 percent is projected for SSK and Bağkur retirees in January. The increase for civil servants and retirees is expected to be around 50 percent.
With a 50 percent increase, the lowest state civil servant salary, which is currently at the level of approximately 22 thousand liras, will rise to the 33 thousand lira level. The lowest retired state civil servant salary will rise from 9 thousand 876 liras to the 14 thousand 814 lira levels.
