TEPAV announces September food inflation

The Economic Policy Research Foundation of Turkey (TEPAV) has released its September 2024 Food Price Index (TEGE) data.

According to TEPAV's data, the items with the largest price decreases in the fresh fruit and vegetable category in September were dill, arugula, and mint.

The highest price increases were seen in pointed peppers, bell peppers, and Charleston peppers. Outside of fresh fruits and vegetables, the products with the highest price increases were shelled hazelnuts, eggs, and sunflower oil, while prices for paper, sugar, fish, and jam decreased.

Annual food inflation was calculated at 49.13 percent.
