Tera Yatırım Bankası fails to make payment on 5 billion TL financing bond

The Central Securities Depository (MKK) has notified the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) that the principal and coupon payment for Tera Yatırım Bankası's maturing financing bond could not be executed.

The Central Securities Depository (MKK) has announced that the redemption and coupon payment for the private sector debt instrument with ISIN code TRFTRYBE2614, issued by Tera Yatırım Bankası A.Ş., could not be made upon maturity.

In a notification made to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) at 17:55, the MKK stated that the payment transactions could not be carried out because the issuing institution did not transfer the required amount.

The redemption and coupon payment transactions dated 05.10.2026 regarding the private sector debt instrument with ISIN code TRFTRYBE2614, issued by Tera Yatırım Bankası A.Ş., could not be executed through our institution because the issuing institution did not transfer the payment amount.

It was reported that the financing bond in question was issued on April 6, 2026, had a 182-day maturity, and was sold to qualified investors. The nominal size of the bond was announced as 5 billion TL, with an annual simple interest rate of 42 percent.

For the bond maturing on October 5, 2026, the interest rate for the 182-day period is calculated at 20.94247 percent. In this context, in addition to the 5 billion TL principal, approximately 1 billion 47 million TL in interest was required to be paid.

Thus, the total payment due to investors on the maturity date reached approximately 6.05 billion TL. According to the MKK notification, neither the principal redemption nor the coupon payment could be delivered to investors due to the failure to transfer the payment amount.

While it was noted that the financing bond was traded on the Borsa İstanbul Debt Securities Market, the development is being closely monitored in the private sector debt instruments market.
