The 100 lira threshold for diesel will be crossed tonight

A price hike of 4 lira and 62 kurus per liter of diesel is expected to take effect as of midnight tonight. With the increase reflected at the pump, diesel prices will rise above 100 TL in Istanbul and above 101 TL in Ankara and Izmir.

With this new increase in fuel prices, the era of three-digit prices for diesel will begin. It is stated that following this increase, the price per liter of diesel will reach an all-time high.

Journalist Olcay Aydilek also commented on the hike in a post on his social media account, stating, “September 17, 2026, fuel is entering a new phase. Two-digit prices will give way to three-digit ones. A hike of 4.62 TL is expected for diesel at midnight tonight. The price of one liter of diesel will exceed 100 TL. An all-time record will be broken.”
