The 19-year Palandöken era at TESK has ended: Mehmet Yiğiner is the new president
At the 22nd Ordinary General Assembly of TESK held in Ankara, Bendevi Palandöken did not present a list; Mehmet Yiğiner, who entered the election as the sole candidate, was elected president.

The 19-year era of Bendevi Palandöken at the Confederation of Turkish Tradesmen and Craftsmen (TESK) has come to an end. Mehmet Yiğiner, President of the Turkish Drivers and Automobile Federation (TŞOF), who entered the election as the sole candidate at the 22nd Ordinary General Assembly held in Ankara, was elected as the new president of TESK.
Before the general assembly, both incumbent president Bendevi Palandöken and Mehmet Yiğiner had announced their candidacies for the presidency. However, after the management and audit board reports were not approved, Palandöken argued that the election was not being held under fair and equal conditions, announced that he would not present a list, and left the hall.
Following Palandöken's withdrawal, Yiğiner entered the election as the sole candidate. With the election held, Mehmet Yiğiner was brought to the position of TESK President.
Bendevi Palandöken was elected to the TESK board of directors in 1996 and became vice president in 1999. Palandöken had been serving as TESK President since his election to the post in 2007.
