The best-performing investment asset of March has been announced
In March, the asset that provided the highest real return to investors was the euro, with a 3.83 percent gain. For the year as a whole, bullion gold took the top spot.

In March, the investment asset that provided the highest monthly real return according to the Consumer Price Index (CPI) was the euro. According to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), the euro offered investors a real return of 3.83 percent.
In calculations made using the Domestic Producer Price Index (D-PPI), the best-performing investment asset was bullion gold, with a return of 2.9 percent. It was followed by the BIST 100 index with 1.66 percent, gross deposit interest with 1.27 percent, and the dollar with 0.64 percent. During the same period, government domestic debt securities (GDDS) caused a loss of 1.9 percent for investors.
When viewed according to the CPI, bullion gold provided a real return of 2.31 percent, the BIST 100 1.08 percent, gross deposit interest 0.69 percent, and the dollar 0.07 percent in March. With this calculation, GDDS was the investment asset that lost the most value, with a loss of 2.46 percent.
When the three-month performance is considered, bullion gold stood out as the best-performing investment asset, with a gain of 10.9 percent according to the D-PPI and 8.05 percent according to the CPI. During the same period, the BIST 100 index was the asset that caused the most loss for investors, with declines of 4.95 percent and 7.4 percent, respectively.
The picture did not change in the six-month evaluation. Bullion gold remained at the top with a return of 13.83 percent according to the D-PPI and 6.83 percent according to the CPI. During this period, the BIST 100 was the worst-performing investment asset on both index bases, experiencing a decline of 5.99 percent according to the D-PPI and 11.77 percent according to the CPI.
