The best-performing investment vehicle in August has been announced

When adjusted for the Consumer Price Index (CPI), bullion gold provided the highest monthly real return in August at 4.01 percent.

The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) has announced the "real rates of return on financial investment vehicles" for August.

Accordingly, the highest monthly real return in August was seen in bullion gold, with rates of 4.82 percent when adjusted for the Domestic Producer Price Index (D-PPI) and 4.01 percent when adjusted for the Consumer Price Index (CPI).

When adjusted for the D-PPI, euro provided a real return of 2.18 percent, gross deposit interest 1.64 percent, and the dollar 0.6 percent to its investors, while government domestic debt securities (DİBS) caused a loss of 0.68 percent and the BIST 100 index a loss of 10.07 percent.

When adjusted for the CPI, euro provided a real return of 1.4 percent and gross deposit interest 0.86 percent to their investors, while the dollar caused a loss of 0.18 percent, DİBS 1.44 percent, and the BIST 100 index 10.76 percent.

In the 3-month evaluation, gross deposit interest became the investment vehicle providing the highest real return to its investors, at 6.84 percent when adjusted for the D-PPI and 4.42 percent when adjusted for the CPI.

During the same period, the BIST 100 index stood out as the investment vehicle that caused the most loss to its investors, at 9.4 percent when adjusted for the D-PPI and 11.46 percent when adjusted for the CPI.

According to the 6-month evaluation, bullion gold became the investment vehicle providing the highest real return to its investors, at 14.3 percent when adjusted for the D-PPI and 10.77 percent when adjusted for the CPI. During the same period, the dollar was calculated as the investment vehicle causing the most loss to its investors, at 4.68 percent when adjusted for the D-PPI and 7.62 percent when adjusted for the CPI.

HIGHEST ANNUAL REAL RETURN IN BULLION GOLD

When financial investment vehicles were evaluated annually, bullion gold stood out as the investment vehicle providing the highest real return to its investors, at 18.15 percent when adjusted for the D-PPI and 5.54 percent when adjusted for the CPI.

In the annual evaluation, when adjusted for the D-PPI, the BIST 100 index caused a loss of 3.58 percent, euro 7.3 percent, the dollar 8.12 percent, gross deposit interest 11.2 percent, and DİBS 24.61 percent to their investors.

When adjusted for the CPI, the BIST 100 index caused a loss of 13.87 percent, euro 17.19 percent, the dollar 17.92 percent, gross deposit interest 20.68 percent, and DİBS 32.66 percent to their investors.
