The country with the highest salaries in Europe has been revealed

According to current data published by the European Statistical Office, Eurostat, Luxembourg tops the list for average annual salaries among European Union member states. In the Grand Duchy, the average annual income of an employee reaches 82,969 Euros. However, the high cost of living and income disparities in the country lead to a different perspective on this high salary level.

The advantageous wages offered by Luxembourg continue to attract not only its own citizens but also workers living in neighboring countries. Data across the European Union shows that the country is the clear leader in terms of salaries.

Denmark ranks second on the list, with an average annual salary of 71,565 Euros. It is followed by Ireland with 61,051 Euros, Belgium with 59,632 Euros, and Austria with 58,600 Euros. Germany, with a performance that fell short of expectations, could only manage to secure sixth place with 53,791 Euros annually.

In contrast, average incomes in some European Union countries remain at much lower levels. While the average annual earnings of employees in Bulgaria are limited to 15,387 Euros, this figure was observed to be 17,954 Euros in Greece. This comparison reveals that the salary level in Luxembourg is well above the European Union annual average of 39,808 Euros.
