The losers of the week in the markets have been determined

While the BIST 100 closed the week with a 3.48 percent loss, gram gold also declined. The dollar and euro, however, gained value on a weekly basis.

Exchange rates stood out in the market performance for the week. While stocks traded on Borsa İstanbul lost an average of 3.48 percent in value on a weekly basis, the gram price of gold fell by 0.50 percent. During the same period, the dollar/TL rose by 0.38 percent, and the euro/TL rose by 1.22 percent.

The BIST 100 index saw a weekly low of 13,216.16 points and a high of 14,085.39 points. The index completed the week at 13,458.10 points, down 3.48 percent from the previous week's close.

The gram selling price of 24-karat bullion gold traded in the Grand Bazaar decreased by 0.50 percent to 6,154 liras. The selling price of Republic gold also fell by 0.57 percent to 40,263 liras.

The selling price of quarter gold, which was 10,170 liras last weekend, fell by 0.66 percent this week to 10,103 liras.

On the foreign exchange side, the US dollar rose by 0.38 percent to 47.5260 liras. The euro/TL also completed the week at 54.5180 liras, up 1.22 percent.

Weekly losses were also observed in the fund market. Investment funds lost 1.34 percent in value, while pension funds lost 1.55 percent. Among investment funds by category, the top performer of the week was money market funds with a gain of 0.76 percent.
