The Mint's 6-month gold balance sheet announced: Which gold was minted the most?

According to data from the General Directorate of the Mint and Stamp Printing House, a total of 9 million 829 thousand 183 gold coins of various types were minted in the first six months of 2026. Ziynet Republic gold coins accounted for the largest share of production.

During the period in question, 8 million 454 thousand 870 of the minted gold coins were recorded as ziynet Republic gold, 1 million 362 thousand 11 as coin Republic gold, and 12 thousand 302 as Reşad coin gold. A total of 33 tons 412 kilograms 853.3 grams of gold were used for this production.

Republic gold coins are produced by the Mint as 22-karat gold by processing 24-karat standard bullion gold through secure and precise procedures. The gold coins are offered to the market in two main groups, coin and ziynet, in different diameters and weights.

QUARTER ZİYNET GOLD STOOD OUT

The most minted product in the first half of the year was the quarter gold coin in the ziynet Republic gold category. During this period, 6 million 222 thousand 610 quarter ziynet gold coins were minted.

In the same category, 898 thousand 835 half, 1 million 288 thousand 413 single (full), 44 thousand 702 two-and-a-half, and 310 five-unit ziynet gold coins were produced. The total weight of the ziynet Republic gold coins was calculated as 23 tons 887 kilograms 240 grams.

In Republic coin gold, the highest production was seen in single gold coins. In the first six months, 1 million 227 thousand 909 single coin gold pieces were minted, while 110 thousand 670 quarter, 17 thousand 582 half, 600 two-and-a-half, and 5 thousand 250 five-unit coin gold pieces were produced.

In the Reşad gold category, 1,782 half, 5 thousand 960 single, 600 two-and-a-half, and 3 thousand 960 five-unit gold coins were minted. Thus, the total Reşad gold production in the first half was 12 thousand 302 units.
